For the fine artist the very best option for reproducing your artwork is to start with a digital capture. The biggest hurdle to a great edition is matching the color to the original. While 4×5 transparencies are capable of producing detailed reproductions, a direct digital capture has the major benefit of immediate, accurate color. With digital capture the color is much more accurate to begin with, so there is considerably less work involved in matching the original.

Digital Capture prices are as follows:
$45 for Images up to 30×40
$90/hour for Color Corrections and Matching
Larger than 30×40 may require additional capture and correction costs generally $75 for multiple shot captures.

At Sopris Printing we can scan any of the following formats: slide films, 35mm negatives, 4×5 large format transparencies, and standard photographic prints up to 11″x14″. We can generate files for use in large print blowups to small images destined for the internet.

Scanning prices are as follows:
$7 – Simple Scan, 5 minutes of Corrections
$14 – Simple Scan, 10 minutes of Corrections
$20 – Simple Scan, 15 minutes of Corrections
$21 – Scanning with Corrections (up to 20 minutes)
$28 – Multi-Piece Scanning with Corrections (up to 20 minutes)
